We have named this galaxy after the greatest gift a mother could ever receive. My
son was born James Junior Beals on April 3, 1971 in Van Nuys, CA at Valley Presbyterian
Hospital. James attended school in San Fernando, CA. After high school at the age
of 18 he joined the Marine Corps and became a career warrior. He earned many accolades
while in the service of his country. He loved his family, country, and the Corps.
James' true love was Marie Pappas who remained ever faithful to him in his life and
career. James died June 22, 1999 at the young age of 28 while on active duty with
the Marine Corps in Michigan. Fellow Marines & family knew and respected him
for his generosity and unselfish helping hand. We will always remember his big brilliant
smile and all the love that radiated from him. I believe if a person's name is spoken
aloud, it will always exist. When you gaze up into this galaxy, say it's name aloud
and through you he will live forever.
This gift I give to my son who put and kept the twinkle in our eyes and loved us
unconditionally. James is forever in our hearts and memory.
